AI Arrived Before the Instructions Did

AI showed up fast, made big promises, and left most of us to figure it out alone. That's not a failure on your part — it's just the reality of a tool that got here before the training manual.

Every business owner I talk to says some version of the same thing: "I know I should be using AI, I just don't know where to start." That's not a knowledge gap on your part. That's a design problem with how these tools got released to the world.

Nobody Handed You a Manual

Most technology comes with some kind of onboarding. AI didn't. It arrived, it went viral, and everyone was expected to just figure it out — while the tools themselves kept changing under our feet.

So if you've felt behind, you're not behind. You're normal. The instructions are still being written, mostly by people like me who spend hours a week testing what actually works.

Start Small, Not Big

You don't need to master everything AI can do. You need one or two use cases that save you real time this week — a first draft of a social post, an outline for an email, a summary of a long document.

Pick one task. Try it. Adjust. That's the whole learning curve.

I'm Janet Galati with JG Marketing Solutions. Every Monday, I'm here with real marketing knowledge you can use. See you next week.
